2024 – Resonance
In this solo exhibition, Vesselin presents us with his classic style of bold abstract art that aids us in learning more about different interpersonal relationships that humans form. He explores new possibilities through paint dripping and layering of canvases to create a singular image. Resonance takes us through a dreamlike setting accompanied by outstanding paint splashes of color. Kourtev’s paintings consist of figures that seem ghostlike as they fade into the page. We are brought on a journey of emotion through facial expression, color, and strategic artistic technique. Themes of interpersonal relationships, human connection, and deep emotion are present throughout his paintings. Similarities to his previous works can be seen in his most recent cycle, alongside new creative ventures.
